  • What is the South Pole Illuminated Festival?
    South Pole Illuminated Festival is an immersive holiday experience with the tallest RGB Christmas Tree in America, spanning over 10 stories tall. An Illuminated oval park featuring 24 new giant color-changing trees, recreated snowfall and Santa’s Castle. A new South Pole & Beyond exhibit with over 100 new Giant Holiday & Space themed lanterns. Guests will experience a walking journey through millions of lights featuring Santa Photos, Train Rides, Gingerbread House Building, S’mores Station, Holiday Food Court, NASA Photo Exhibit, South Pole Artisan Market, Holiday Carnival and more.
  • Event Dates & General Info
    Event Dates: The South Pole Illuminated Drive runs nightly Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 thru Sunday, January 1st, 2023. The South Pole Illuminated Festival runs Monday-Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Friday & Saturday from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Location: McAllen Convention Center, located at 700 Convention Center Blvd, McAllen, Texas 78501 The McAllen South Pole Illuminated Drive is rain or shine barring extreme weather conditions or city park closures.
  • Will you be selling tickets at the door?
    Yes, tickets will be available at entrance. However, we encourage you to buy your tickets prior to prevent the event selling out for the evening of your choice.
  • Ticket Information
    Weekdays: $12 Adults | $7 kids under 12 Weekends: $15 Adults | $10 kids under 12 Disclaimer: All sales are final.
  • Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
    We encourage you to bring a printed copy of your ticket to be scanned for expedited entry or please have your digital ticket ready for scanning on your Ticketmaster App.
  • Is parking free?
    Parking is FREE for all attendees.
  • What kind of food will be available?
    South Pole Illuminated Festival provides a great variety of food vendors for attendees, including food trucks. Please note, there is no outside food and beverages allowed.
  • Can we take photos?
    Personal cameras and devices are permitted; we encourage you to take photos to commemorate your experience.
  • Are dogs allowed?
    Yes, be sure they are on a leash at all times and please pick up after them.
